A separate Polish language Sabbath School class caters for those who prefer to discuss in their mother tongue. The township of Stanthorpe boasts a 'cold' climate (for Queensland!) which regularly reaches below 0 Degrees Celcius during winter. Many northern and coastal visitors come to enjoy the brisk winters and sample produce from the many vineyards and stonefruit and apple orchards. It is a great destination for backpackers also, with much orchard work available during the harvest season from November to May.
